What is Quarantine?

Quarantine is the state in which humans and animals keep themselves to maintain a distance against contagious disease. Quarantine is very common all over the world these days.

The reason behind quarantine is the horrible pandemic called coronavirus.

Coronavirus is the virus that is spreading multiple diseases within the victims, which leads to the death of the patient. For saving the lives of people in this horrible situation, there are different quarantine-centers that have been established so that people will be able to maintain social distancing to avoid COVID-19. 

Is it important to quarantine in the pandemic situation of COVID-19?

Self-isolation and quarantine is the most essential thing when there is any contagious disease spread; otherwise, the number of confirmed cases will increase exponentially.

If the disease has the nature to transmit from person to person like COVID-19, it is not only important but essential for every single person to self-isolate himself/herself because carelessness in such a situation will lead to the increased number of deaths.

Why are people suffering from Fatigue in Quarantine?

Living in the same place for months can cause mental illness and fatigue issues. It is very difficult for everyone to maintain a social distance and stay at the same place for months.

But without quarantine, there is a greater risk of getting coronavirus that transmits in people by physical contacts and even through the air. Living at the same place for many months and doing some lighter tasks is the root cause of fatigue and mental illness, as the constant environment can make people bored and tired.

Change in the environment is very important to avoid fatigue, which is, of course, not possible in quarantine.

What are the signs of fatigue?

Fatigue is the condition in which a person feels like he does not have energy in the body and find himself unable to perform tasks. The first signs of fatigue are feeling sleepy and headache. You will feel dizziness and muscular pain that lead to poor decision making, and you will be unable to judge anything completely.

It is difficult for a person to give respond when he has fatigue. There are hundreds of reasons that cause fatigue, but the most common reason for fatigue these days is quarantine and social distancing due to COVID-19. 

How to cope in quarantine?

In the horrible pandemic of COVID-19, no one knows when the vaccine or any proper medicine available that helps to fight against this issue. This wait is too long, and being a part of quarantine is getting difficult day by day, here are some of the instructions that will make your quarantine life better. 

Make timetable 

Staying up the whole night and sleeping till evening leads to the weakening of the muscles and fatigue. The routine of most of the people is disturbed due to lockdown and social distancing restriction that is the major cause of laziness in people.

To avoid all such irregular routines, you need to make a proper time table of working and sleeping hours. Following the time table will help you to do everything on time and be active in quarantine.

Your laziness will have vanished if you sleep properly and perform your task as per scheduled. This will help the person to become mentally relax and stress-free.

  • Drink more water 

Insufficient water in the body leads to dehydration. This is the condition in which the immune system works slowly that ultimately makes you suspect of disease.

Drinking an adequate amount of water keeps the internal organs working properly. Many different functions in the body need water medium for proceedings, but in case of unavailability of water, the body becomes helpless.

Keeping yourself hydrated will help you to avoid fatigue, laziness, and dehydration troubles. Moreover, your body becomes able to function properly. 

  • Take hot drinks 

Hot drinks are a good source of killing microbes and keeping the body active and healthy. Most of the people all around the world feel fresh and active when they enjoy coffee and tea.

Such drinks have a little amount of caffeine that boosts up the energy in the body and activate the nervous system. This energy makes your muscles active, and you feel fresh enough to do more tasks. Enjoying hot drinks in the quarantine is a simple and easy way to avoid fatigue and tiredness. 

  • Spend time with family 

Spending time with family is important in quarantine. A person must stay connected with family because siblings and parents are the most essential supporters when a person is in trouble.

You must share your feelings, thoughts, emotions, and daily routine with them to keep yourself normal otherwise, you will become lonely and depress. It is good to spend time with family members, but keep in mind that you need to maintain social distance and should not get closer physically. 

  • Stay connected with friends. 

In the quarantine, when you have to keep social distance with everyone, you can connect to friends and love ones via the internet and phone.

This is very important to stay connected with your community; otherwise, you will become depressed. In quarantine, spend some time talking to your friends that refresh your mood and quickly remove the stress that you faced due to loneliness. 

  • Eat healthy foods 

Health is the most important matter for every person, and due to having lots of health issues these days due to COVID-19, it is also important to quarantine yourself and stay safe.

But being at the same place for months can make you weak and tired. This is the major cause of fatigue, which can be overcome by enjoying healthy and delicious food items. Nutritious meals can improve your health by which the immune system work properly.

This proper working saves your life from the attack of microbes. Moreover, healthy meals provide energy for a healthy lifestyle and an active mind.

  • Workout 

A workout is essential for everyone nowadays. This will keep you active as you are not doing any physical work at home. To keep yourself alert and healthy, doing some exercises in quarantine is the best option.

It is not necessary to spend hours on a workout; rather, you can spend some minutes doing a walk, running, jogging, yoga, or any other exercise that you want to do for yourself. After following this workout routine for a few days, you will become much more active and do not feel fatigued and laziness.

  • Help yourself 

It is very important to avoid stress and anxiety when you are living alone. It has been reported that the rate of alcohol and drug purchase is increased exponentially due to the shut-down of clubs, bars, and restaurants.

People are more likely to become an addict and depress as there is no way out. But actually, quarantine is for the betterment of one other due to the destructive conditions of COVID-19. Try to figure out the worst conditions of the world deeply instead of being scattered.

Help yourself to overcome the situation as everyone this time is suffering, so you are not the only one. Spend time doing different activities and keep yourself engage to avoid frustration and mood troubles. 

  • Help Others 

There are lots of people in every society who are working on daily wages and unable to afford joblessness. In the horrible pandemic situation of COVID-19, there are hundreds of people all around who are starving due to lockdown and quarantine.

It is the responsibility of every person to help each other. Helping removes mental stress and even the lives of many people who would otherwise die due to hunger and poverty. It is natural to feel good when you help someone. This is another way by which you can promote goodness in society.

How are people working these days?

Most of the people nowadays are working from home. They submit their tasks online and earn through it. Many people are jobless due to the heavy spread of COVID-19.

The use of the internet and mobile phones is very common and helpful in avoiding social contacts. Moreover, studies are maintained by online class sessions and video calls.

Some companies are also conducting their meetings with the help of video calls. These are some of the strategies that people are following to promote social distancing.

There is no doubt in saying that being a part of quarantine is hectic and tough for everyone, but due to life risk, it is essential to go with this idea; otherwise, you will lots of troubles due to COVID-19.

Every problem has a solution, so there is no need to be worried if the situation is not favorable because you are not the single one who is facing it. Try to overcome fatigue and depression by following the above-mentioned guidelines. Keep yourself healthy and active, and try to do some lighter tasks that keep you engage.

Stay connected with family and friends using social media that help you avoid stress. Follow all the precautionary measures so that you will not get this horrible disease.
